Ocean diver weekend got off to what Sean described as \"the latest start ever\"; though admittedly the entire group did convene in Leeds for a McDonalds about five minutes after we left the Chapel.
The particularly helpful trainees started off the weekend well by making sandwiches when we arrived at Stackstead (helped out by Nick and his handy food hygiene certificate) though tuna and salad cream sandwiches are unlikely to make a reappearance (ahem... Susan).
We started off Saturday with bacon butties (courtesy of Nick (edit: and Luke), probably something of a reoccurring theme...) before heading off to Capernwray. The drivers wisely avoided Tom\'s advice and didn\'t fortunately follow the van there, so they avoided the well know route to Cpers via the M6... The weather was pretty good, and except for the hour long skills dives spent on the 2m platforms by two groups (aka The Nightmare Dive), the diving was good too. We packed up the van and headed back to Stackstead (buying more bacon enroute), where the (fairly amazing) trainees made all the sandwiches and chilli before we all headed to the local pub. Sunday was a equally good day, though a bit more breezy.
