Ocean diver weekend got off to what Sean described as \"the latest start ever\"; though admittedly the entire group did convene in Leeds for a McDonalds about five minutes after we left the Chapel. The particularly helpful trainees started off the weekend well by making sandwiches when we arrived at Stackstead (helped out by Nick and his handy food hygiene certificate) though tuna and salad cream sandwiches are unlikely to make a reappearance (ahem... Susan). We sta...(Continue)

On a crisp autumn weekend a group of divers from LUUSAC set off for a weekend of diving. Unfortunately the divers had to use there back up plan due to the weather up in St Abbs on Saturday, so they went to the wonderful inland dive site known as Ellerton Park, which is a large 10m lake just of the A1 by Catterick. With caravans, cars, boats, concrete tunnels and pike being some of the great underwater attraction you could see. So not to steal Mikey\'s own words it was a bit off a under wate...(Continue)

On a \'lovely\' day in November we headed off to North Landing on Flamborough Head. There was a little wind, but nothing to worry about - we thought! The first wave consistinf of Nathan, James, Sean and Tim went in thi...(Continue)

We picked the van up around 6pm and headed for the chapel a quick check of kit and the van loaded, we set off for the M62. A quick stop off at Birch services for a traditional BK BACON double cheese burger, then onwards we press. We arrived around 10:30pm after group discussion we decide our plan for the weekend and head to bed. The walk...(Continue)

The next day sadly dawned rainy and foggy, though there were still some nice views to be had over the lake, and bacon sarnies were a nice incentive for people to leave their beds. Despite the pouring rain and some slightly over-enthusiastic application of talcum powder to neck seals, eve...(Continue)
